After lunch, taking a little walk at the mall and then drinking a cup of latte macchiato are some of my daily habits. If you are a latte lover like me, you may like this mindful drinking exercise. All latte lovers know that latte is not only a coffee, but also it is art. Now, here is the magic formula for feeling the art on your mouth: order a lovely latte macchiato and watch it a minute on the table. Then hold the cup in both hands and focus your attention on the warmth you feel.
Bring your face close to the cup, close your eyes, take a deep breath and hold it. Notice any steam or aroma and the sensation of what is happening inside your nose, then exhale slowly.
Place your lip on the edge of the cup but don’t take a sip. Stay there for about 5-6 seconds. Notice the feel of the cup against your lip and then it is time to taste it! Take a small sip, don’t swallow. Hold the liquid in your mouth for at least 10 seconds focus on different tastes, intensiveness, the temperature of your mouth. Notice how the latte moves around your mouth and then swallow.
Feel the motion of it in your body. Feel the source of inspiration. 💁🏻☕️💕
